Snow Day

We woke up this morning suprisingly late... about 7:45 (very late for us)... we opened Kallie's bedroom door and found her rocking in her rocking chair watching the birds and the snow outside. She was amazed at the snow & couldn't wait to go outside and play. So we did.... after about 4 layers of clothes and a jacket, gloves, scarf, & boggin.... we were on our way out.

She had a blast playing and watching the doggies run through the snow. Daddy made a snow angel and mommy made a couple of mini snowmen.... She was ready to go inside once the snowball fight began! :)

What a Mighty God we Serve!

I have a wonderful praise report that I wanted to share with everyone!

My husband and I had SUCH a wonderful weekend!

1st of all the lord has been burdening me about children for a while.. i wasn't sure if it was adoption or what.... then... sunday a group of missionaries that our church knows came to visit... from mexico.... that was it! I knew what God wanted me to do. So Josh & i are sponsoring a little girl from Mexico! Beatrice "Betty"...

The story of how we chose her (better yet, how God connected us) is simply amazing! I was shown a snapshot of a group of about 15 children. All precious of course... but there was one little girl that stood out to me... then Carolyn showed me another little girl (similar names) and told me her story. The story just broke my heart and I really wanted to help her... but i was just drawn to this 1st little girl.... I gave Carolyn my choice and she said, "You know, I was mistaken. I had the two girls mixed up... the one I just told you the story about is the girl you pointed to." And that little girl was Betty. Isn't God just AMAZING? HE knew which little girl needed our help and had been preparing my heart for months and months.

I already have a picture (the entire group from the children's home) & they are going to send me more information on Betty... we sent her a card and some pictures of our family and kallie colored her a picture of an angel! kallie can say betty too... it's so precious!

I stayed up Saturday night til midnight cleaning out ALL of Kallie’s clothes… I was getting rid of so much stuff & I had no clue why…. I packed it up & figured I’d take it to a neighbor later in the week… then Sunday, Carolyn (the missionary) told me that if I needed to get rid of any of kallie’s hand-me-downs… she had 2 little girls in the children’s home that would greatly appreciate them… I was floored! GOD is SOOOOO good! it was a God thing for sure… so I went home & got them & they’re taking everything back to mexico!

THEN.... Josh and I had stayed on the internet for 3 and 1/2 hours or so Saturday evening researching our summer vacation. We had decided we were going to Orlando and would visit with Josh's family, take Kallie to Disney World and Sea World, and maybe even hit the beach one day. We had our condo selected and researched ticket prices. All we had to do was make our reservations. We decided we would wait and call on Sunday to speak with a live person and finalize our plans. Well, much to our suprise... God had different plans for our lives. We heard Wayne and Carolyn speak at our church on Sunday morning and instantly felt led to take a mission trip this summer - to mexico! We are sooooo psyched! I mean it! It is even more amazing how everything is lining right up. I am sooooo excited about what God is going to do & about helping those children.... so i have to start brushing up on some spanish for sure! So pray for us please.... i know the devil will be after us since we have decided to do this.... We're already facing obstacles this week but I KNOW God will intercede! We hope to finalize a date this week and get the ball rolling to plan our short term mission trip! We will take a short vacation with Kallie as well, but she won't be able to join us in Mexico. So please, please pray especially for me about leaving my baby girl behind with NO contact for an entire week! I know God will watch over us and protect us... but it will still be hard.

PRAISE GOD for all HE is! Amazing, Mighty, Merciful, Holy, Splendor, Gracious, Great, Wonderful, and ALWAYS RIGHT ON TIME Lord & Saviour!

Now if that doesn't excite you......

Praise God!

Sweetness...

Kallie was soooo adorable tonight. While trying to get her to sleep... she took her paci right out of her mouth and just stared into my eyes.... she gave me the biggest kiss and said "i you mommy" (that's her i love you)... it just melted my heart! She just patted me... oh to stay in that moment forever! Isn't God so amazing? To think of how much I love my Kalliebug .... and to know God loves each and everyone of us so much more! He gave His one and only Son for us! We are so blessed!

Happy Birthday Kallie!

Kalliebug turned 2 on Sunday. We had her birthday party here at the house Saturday. Here are a few pics to show how much fun we had!

Christmas Eve

I hope and pray that everyone had a WONDERFUL CHRISTmas! Our family was truly blessed beyond all imaginable and we give God all the glory for that!

We celebrated Christmas with my parents, grandparents, brother & sis-in-law, & aunt on Christmas Eve night. We had so much to eat and everything was so yummy! And I do believe that everyone got JUST what they wanted for Christmas!

Pop got the hot dog cooker he'd been eyeing! Santa told us you'd been good Pop!
Kallie's uncle Adam and Aunt Joy got her this AWESOME vaccuum cleaner. She has been wanting one of these so much!
Joy can pull off ANY look! :)

Yes, Adam you ARE special!

We had such a wonderful time with the family! I can't possibly post all of our crazy pics!
