Christmas Eve

I hope and pray that everyone had a WONDERFUL CHRISTmas! Our family was truly blessed beyond all imaginable and we give God all the glory for that!

We celebrated Christmas with my parents, grandparents, brother & sis-in-law, & aunt on Christmas Eve night. We had so much to eat and everything was so yummy! And I do believe that everyone got JUST what they wanted for Christmas!

Pop got the hot dog cooker he'd been eyeing! Santa told us you'd been good Pop!
Kallie's uncle Adam and Aunt Joy got her this AWESOME vaccuum cleaner. She has been wanting one of these so much!
Joy can pull off ANY look! :)

Yes, Adam you ARE special!

We had such a wonderful time with the family! I can't possibly post all of our crazy pics!

Zoo Light Safari

Kallie, her Mimi, and I started our Christmas break out by going to the Zoo Light Safari on Tuesday night. We all had a blast. Kallie is crazy about choo choo trains... so of course that was her favorite stop of the evening. She loved looking at the lights and saying hello to everyone!

Christmas in Tupelo

We had such a wonderful time yesterday! We drove to Tupelo for our Christmas celebration with our family. Kallie didn't know exactly what to think about all of the attention! Well.... yes, ok she absolutely loved it! She go to see her Grandma Jeffie, Granddaddy Richard, Uncle Jeff, Cathy, Bo, Nikki, Scott, Chris, Mimi, and of course Pop!

Kallie also got an extra special visit from Santa Clause. That's right... a visit all the way from the North Pole. She just loved him and has talked about him nonstop since we left! She even gave Santa a great big kiss right before he had to leave!
Everyone got their turn to sit and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas! We had a blast!

Mimi... Pop...
Grandmama...

Yes, everyone had their picture made with Santa, everyone except Bo... hmmmmm....

We had a great time and can't wait to go back to visit with that bunch again!

Early Christmas

We opened a few more gifts Friday night from our friends Jenny, Jeremy, & Megan! Kalie is sporting her new Bama cup.... didn't take her long to figure it out either.... drink in the top and snack on the bottom.... the absolute greatest invention! Thanks so much Jenny! We loved all of our goodies... you guys were too sweet to us!

Christmas Play Update

We had a wonderful time at the Christmas play tonight. There was such a great message behind it and everyone did such a great job! God gets all the Praise for that! We had a great time in fellowship with all of our friends and church family as well! Thank God for them all!

Check out these Christmas cuties....

Christmas Play

Hey everyone, our church is having it's annual Christmas Play this Sunday night! Everyone is invited! The play begins at 6 pm and we will have finger foods afterwards! Kallie, her Pop, & I will all be in it! Come support us! Oak Grove Baptist Church... message me if you need directions!

Potty Woes

So the going potty for Kallie is very sporadic. But I understand this is how it all begins... it's all new to me remember? Kallie asked her teacher to go potty at school yesterday... she did successfully and got a little stamp on her hand and a smily face on her status sheet! Way to go Kalliebug!
When we get home in the afternoons, I ask kallie to take her jacket to her room... same as usual yesterday... only she was in her room several minutes, not making a peep.... I proceed to her room... & kallie has managed to take off her shoes, her socks, her jeans, her DIAPER.... and is trying to put a pull-up on all by herself.... She wanted to wear the princesses she said. What a little mess!
She wanted to be a princess for school today too... she looked adorable this morning... i'll try to take a pic when i pick her up & load it on!

Christmas is coming!

I cannot EVEN believe Christmas is right around the corner! Where has the time gone? It's so easy with all of the hustle and bustle to forget the true reason we celebrate Christmas. Let's don't forget it guys... we're celebrating the incredible birth of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ! Now if that doesn't fill your heart with joy! Joy unspeakable is more like it! I have to remind myself of that when i get stressed out by all of the obligations during this busy season!

We had dinner w/ our buddies tonight... Jenny, Jeremy, & Megan! And can you believe i didn't take a single pic? Shame! Shame! Kallie was such a good girl tonight... all through Sams & all through dinner.... We were actually amazed! We let her open an early present tonight to show we were practically blown away by her good behavior! lol! not really... we wanted her to open it early so she could hang it on the tree... we're going to get her a new ornament each year for Christmas. This year was a Noah's Ark ornament b/c that is her fave at the moment.... She loves Noah and all of the animals.

We passed a nativity scene coming home tonight and Kallie said "Baby Jesus". AWWW! I just love that she is learning about Jesus already at such a young age! I pray that she continues to grow eager to learn more and more about the Lord each day!

Car seat troubles

Alrighty parents.... Have any of you ever had to deal with your children fighting you about getting in the carseat? OMG! Kallie is giving us fits.... We approach the car and she immediately starts kicking and screaming No, no.... arching her back while i'm trying to get her in the seat... kicking, pushing, & screaming at me while trying to buckle her in... she is hysterical from that point... sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes the entire ride.... Any ideas on how to make car riding fun again? She used to LOVE the car.... now it's kinda scary for us parents! lol! Saturday night after our Sunday School party, Josh was driving home.... He got hit in the chest w/ 2 socks.... a burp cloth...in the head w/ a paci.... and you should have seen his face when i handed her the full cup of milk...... lol! He had the greatest look of fear on his face! It was priceless... i should have had my camera! So any tips on keeping your children contained in the car.... send em on! :)

Potty Training

My little one never ceases to amaze me! Last week we had a GREAT time potty training. Although it wasn't so much potty training.... more, it was kallie coming up to me saying "Mommy, potty." I'm thinking to myself yeah, right... I put her on the potty & wa-la! She went 2 or 3 times each at home on Thursday and Friday.... and Friday at daycare she went twice! I am so proud of my big girl! Now this weekend, no potty time.... she usually gets thrown off of her routine on weekends though... several times she wanted to go... but froze up! Oh & not to mention once yesterday she ripped her diaper off & peed in my bathroom floor! NICE! :) Maybe we'll get back into the swing of things this week! Any potty training tips? Send em this way!

Sunday School Christmas Party

Hope you like coffee Patrick!
Kallie and her Pop!
Smooth as silk feet for Josh!

Brandon, what is that?

Looks like you're stuck Justin!

Kallie and her 1st boyfriend Patrick!

We had our Sunday School Christmas party last night at church. We had an excellent lasagna dinner and afterwards played dirty santa. Josh ended up w/ a Wal-mart gift card and I managed to steal a handmade candy dish (full of chocolate of course). We did really well while some.... well, just couldn't say the same.

Christmas w/ the Blalock's

Last weekend we had our Christmas celebration with our dear friends and neighbors... Josh, Stina, & Logan! We had such a great time. We had lunch (munched all day long), let the kiddos open gifts, and then watched the Bama game (sad story). Kallie had a blast with Logan. He's her little buddy... I know she's going to enjoy teaching him all her tricks! Sorry Stina! The kids played so hard... Sunday at church Kallie was telling everyone about Logan and the bath... i had to clarify... Logan gave Kallie bath toys for Christmas!

Here I go....

After reading my friend Kristen's blog... I decided I needed to start one myself! I figure this will be an excellent way for our family and friends to stay in the loop of our day to day lives. Kallie is changing so much each and every day... I don't want anyone to miss out on what we're experiencing! Now those of you that know me... know I am SUCH a procrastinator... so i'm going to try my best to stay on top of this & update often! Enjoy everyone!
